Let's go to Beqa!

Have you ever wanted to leave Suva for the weekend but not go too far? Maybe you want to go to Pacific Harbour, which is great, but then you do that all the time? Well, consider going to Beqa!

Beqa Lagoon Resort is like a stone throw away from the mainland, ok fine a 30min boat ride. However, it is still within reach and close to mainland. This is my second trip to Beqa Lagoon Resort and I absolutely LOVE it here and already look forward to my next stay.

While we have our wonderful tourists making trips here for shark diving and the works, there is really nothing stopping us locals from going here for a staycation.

Anyway, here is what you need to know about Beqa Lagoon Resort.

Accommodation

The rooms or bures are huge, spacy and modern with a local touch of interiors. Honestly, it is truly worth the money. We paid a local rate of $200 FJD and I somehow thought we were staying in the bures we were in the last time. I was stunned when we were shown to our bures, which was oceanfront this time and had its own mini pool! I was full on oohing and aahing for over a good 5 minutes about how amazing our bure was.

Getting there

You might wonder why I am talking about this after accommodation and not before. But there is no rule about that LOL! So when you book your room you can either opt to take the hotel boat transfer or make your own arrangements with other boats. But hassle free and quick transfer are the hotel boat transfers, which I highly recommend. It costs $85FJD return.

On arrival

You receive welcome drinks and a free foot massage! The foot massages are redeemable either on the first day you arrive or on the second day. It’s about a 15 minute foot massage but oh so nice!

Meals

Beqa Lagoon Resort offers a meal package with the rooms and that is also $85FJD for 3 meals. They have a set menu. The food is yummy and worth it. We were not disappointed. Quantity and quality was just perfect. You can carry your own snacks and drinks. Or you can buy from the Resort.

Activities

There is heaps to do and explore, just check with the activities board. We enjoy kayaking, stand up paddle board and snorkelling because well, we do want to chill and take it easy. (locals eh)

Spa

That treat yourself moment really! The Spa here is my favourite. Its outdoor, ocean facing and you dose off to the sound of waves. Oh and it’s all Pure Fiji products (a favourite of mine).

Well, if you do consider going to Beqa Lagoon Resort tell me what you think about it! And if you have been, any other tips?

P.S. I have been busy with work hence the DL on my blog but thanks for stopping by and there is more awesome stuff coming and I hope it inspires you to step out and experience what Fiji has to offer us all.
