Finding Food in Tavua
I had been to Tavua numerous times in my past employment and always thought of how quaint this place is.
Kamal and I decided to have lunch in Tavua enroute to Suva from Ba, and also because we had barely been here.
So the challenge was trying to locate an actual open restaurant but my fading memory could not recall precisely. Kamal was driving to my extremely vague directions, and as men usually do when driving, he decided to steer our way on his own then depend on his wife. LOL.
So we ended up on a street that had one restaurant opening called Tandoori Fried Chicken. We were hungry because we didn’t eat properly since morning and when we walked into this place, I saw they had more options then just Tandoori Fried Chicken or fried chicken.
Typical for me to order a chili chicken and Kamal went for chicken curry. The ladies serving us were aloof at first but gradually warmed up. The meal serves were a good size and I enjoyed my meal. Kamal was not too happy with his but overall we were happy to finally eat.
This restaurant was buzzing with people coming in and out and the fried chicken seemed to be a hit. You know when in Rome do as the Roman’s do? Exactly, we should have opted for fried chicken!
What restaurant in Tavua would you recommend?
