Fish Parcels in Labasa!

A must do when in Labasa! I have been to and fro many times but I never really ventured to the stalls till a few of you suggested that I must try it and write about it.

What you must know, is that I only write about things I experience and I to do this. For those that know me, know how fussy I can be with where I eat so obviously I was extremely skeptical about eating a fish parcel at the Labasa market.

We walked to the stalls and selected our meals. He told me how Silasila and walu are the most popular fish parcels. Sure enough, everyone that came by were asking each and every stall if they had silasila or walu fish parcels.

We bought our parcels and sat the stall to chow. I opened it up and saw that it had fried fish, egg, cassava and a small side of salad. We started eating and my first bite made me realize what I was missing out on all this while.

The fish was fresh, cooked nicely with just the right amount of yum. I was so happy that we did this. Check out the brief video on this!

You must try a fish parcel the next time you are in Labasa to see exactly what I mean.
