New restaurant on the block!

While driving through Flagstaff (Suva) 2 weeks ago, I spotted greenery on a building called ‘Veggie Restaurant’ and it looked inviting. I was back in office after a work trip and we decided to check out this newly sprung restaurant as my lovely colleagues had also noticed this in passing.

If you are familiar with Flagstaff then this restaurant is nestled in the block where Great Wok of China restaurant is (the side where the new mall is springing up). Well also know that parking may be an issue.

The restaurant is a quaint little place with splashes of wall decors here and there and it exudes more of a cafe vibe. I was obsessed with the fake greenery that was on the outside of the building and wished that the inside of the restaurant had a wall covered in that greenery, coz hello potential photo wall!

We had arrived to a pretty empty restaurant and the food display case had a few sweet treats displayed, the menu featured vegetarian Chinese dishes. We got cappuccinos, latte, tiramisu, chocolate cake and a lemon cake. Service was efficient given that we were the only people. Our coffees were served in cute colorful mugs which we gushed over for a while.

We shared the sweet treats and agreed that the Tiramisu and lemon cake was delicious. However, the chocolate cake was a heart breaker really, it was dry and not chocolatey at all. Three of us thought the coffee was so so but Judith thought it was pretty ok.

Overall, I think this place really needs work with in terms of what it has to offer.

We did not try the Chinese vegetarian dishes but I am sure that it would have been great given that it is Chinese owned. So if you are looking for vegetarian options this may be a restuarant to add to your go to place or may warrant a visit at least once.

I also feel that with the new mall opening soon, it may get more customers and build its services over time.
