Yes there is Luggage Storage at Nadi International Airport!
Yes there is a place where you can store your luggage at Nadi International Airport and yes it took me ages to know this important bit of information.
I only discovered this when our flight from Nadi to Tonga was delayed for 8 hours. We obviously could not check in and had all our luggage in tow, which does become annoying. Someone mentioned how we could potentially leave our bags at storage for a price.
Let me also confess that I was planning on escaping the airport scene to indulge at Taste Fiji and did not want to tow my luggage along. So I headed down to the Nadi International Arrival lounge to investigate further.
I found it difficult to locate given that the sign read “left luggage” but then quickly figured it also meant storage (LOL). Also know that my geographical and navigational skills are quite poor.
Anyway a friendly lady was at the counter and I peeped inside to see luggage stacked neatly and securely. The information on the wall is sufficient and clear to understand. I only paid $9.50 to leave my suitcase behind. The lady let me in and gave me a ticket/receipt and I was set.
We were zooming off to Taste Fiji in no time. Having eaten our hearts out, it was time to check in and I retrieved my bag-easy peasy done!
Details for storage as follows or you can also visit this page http://www.airportsfiji.com/lougagge_storage.php
Oversized Luggage (e.g. Bicycles, Surfboards, etc) - FJD14.20 per item, per day or part thereof.
Suitcases/Backpacks - FJD 9.50 per item, per day or part thereof.
Carry Bags (and other Hand-held Luggage) - FJD7.10 per item, per day or part thereof.
I hope this information helps you during your next transit time and it is death by waiting when you would rather roam around Nadi without having to tow your luggage around!
