The Fiji Airways Premier Lounge Experience!

I walked into the new Fiji Airways Premier Lounge at Nadi Airport and I did not want to leave.

A luscious greenery at its entrance welcomes you into its suave and slick lounge that also features a comfortable dinning/bar area giving you "I live here now" vibes. Well, that is how I felt and I have no shame to say that I went into full "kaicolo mode".

Let me start by saying that I have NEVER been to any fancy airport lounge ever in my life because I never really felt the need to and I loved people watching in departure lounges.

Yes there are benefits of becoming a member to such lounges but for me personally it always seemed like a pinch in my pockets, forking out a certain lump sum for a year. I am a true local at heart but when you could pay $66 to enter the lounge provided you were flying Fiji Airways. DONE! (The old lounge also had a similar arrangement- why did I not do this before?).

Anyway, $66 I could happily afford and if you are still cringing at this dollar value versus the few hours spent at airports then consider the whole experience as a really luxurious buffet deal. Us Fijians love food & drinks and if it is unlimited, even better right? Also if you do the math when spending money on airport food, water, coffee and so forth it may add up to this amount.

In addition, it has comfy spaces for those wanting to catch up on sleep and if you missed out on taking shower- they have that as well, so you can do yourself and fellow passengers a favor (haha LOL). Pleasant & helpful staff are discreetly around to cater to your needs.

Next time you are transiting through Nadi airport and have time to kill, I highly recommend that you treat yourself and check into the Lounge for an experience that really does live up to it's precious name.
