Lelei Icecream
We were picking up a couple of groceries at CJS Supermarket in Nabua and I wanted to try out the new Lelei Icecream from Tuckers.
I suggested that we buy all flavors and Kamal gave me the "Are you mad" look so I quickly selected two flavors only, otherwise, all those box fit classes would go to waste. Double chocolate for me and his favorite being passion fruit- except this one was called coconut passion.
I did not bother dishing out the double chocolate ice cream in a bowl and ate straight out of the 480ml container because 1. I was not sharing and 2. Hello PMS.
I asked Kamal what he thought of the Coconut Passion flavor and all I got was "Yeah it's good".
Anyway, while Tuckers Ice Cream is calling this it's Premium Ice Cream, I have to say that it tasted like normal Tuckers Ice Cream, just a bit creamy. However, my favorite was the swirly gooey chocolate bit that was centered in the container.
I would have wished for that swirly gooey chocolate bit to be throughout the Ice cream because that would have saved me from digging out the center bit and mixing it around!
The containers are a good size and as we Fijians are good at reusing, this can be utilized to pack and store other stuff once cleared of ice cream. Handy right?
By the way, in case you were wondering Lelei translates to beautiful or good in 4 different Pacific Island languages.
Do try it out yourself when you spot it on your next grocery shopping. With that I leave behind a cute and Lelei picture of our Maggie girl!
