The Elephant Tree

Have you heard about the elephant tree? Well neither did i, till my best friend Alysha said so. After a morning at the market we decided to stop by Thurston Garden which is located in Suva, just because (ok honestly, to take pictures as well).

En route to the garden, Alysha was sharing how she remembered this one tree from childhood and that it has remained etched in her memory. I was of course laughing and not taking this conversation too seriously, till i actually saw the tree.

If you take a look at the branch in the picture above, it does resemble the trunk of an elephant! By now, i was admitting how cool this tree actually is. It branches out like the trunk of an elephant ready spray water (this is what i am imagining btw). Unfortunately, I do not have the exact name of the tree or any other detail.

And then i just had to get a picture of Alysha and the tree! Well, so now you also know about the elephant tree. Next time your hanging around Thurston Garden, be sure to look out for it!
