Food Ahoy!

Salty sea smells, an array of yachts, a whiff of beer and over powering the smell senses, delicious food! Food, desserts and drinks courtesy of the Galley Restaurant. Stowed away in the corner of the Yacht Club in Suva, is this amazing food joint!

The Galley has a mumbo jumbo of homely interior mixed with a touch and feel of sail and sea decors further complimented with a splash of tropical vibes.

One of my favorite places that I also go to occasionally, because i prefer the Galley Restaurant for special moments only. I decided that this place would be perfect for a lunch date with my two girlfriends Roni and Judith.

We arrived ahead of 1pm to avoid the usual hour of lunch stampede. So arriving and ordering food at the time that we did was a smart decision. Because within the clock striking 1pm, people trotted in and without having to say it out aloud, house full it was!

As if the chef was cooking to a tune of consistency and efficiency, we received our meals in a timely fashion. I also noticed that tables around us were also receiving their meals in a timely manner. So kudos to the chef and staff of the Galley for such great service!

I had ordered a burger with a side of fries and it was the best beef burger ever! I was unable to finish it, but i was extremely satisfied with my selection. I also pinched a couple of nachos from Judith's plate which was yummy as well. Roni was also happy with fish and chips. We had fresh kumqot juice to wash it all down. Without doubt, totally worth the spend!

Last but not the least, DESSERT!!! And OMG! Chocolate mousse cake!!! Judith and i were literally eating this from our hearts. The best ever chocolate mousse cake! Honestly, I would have gone for more slices of this had it not been the tiny voice in my head reminding me of gym hour!
