Wedding!

Attending a wedding in Fiji is FUN. Every one dresses up to their best to enjoy the festivities. It is all about sharing the joy of the newly weds. Ok let's be honest now, most importantly, it is always about the food and who is wearing what!

Anyway, we had a wedding in the family and it was exciting because this meant that we would all dress up to our best. I love wearing Indian outfits for occasions and i love how its all so dramatic and full of color and bling!

I got my hair and makeup done by the fabulous Nick. Honestly, he is someone that i am super comfortable with and i trust whatever look he suggests. He also did hair and makeup for my mother in law Roshni, as well.

My outfit was a simple yet elegant lehenga suit that i had purchased from Pehenawa in Suva. Is was priced around $150 or so and i felt it was worth it. I do not own any outfits in this aqua-ish color but i was happy that the color looked good on me. My mother in law opted for a beautiful white and red sari which was purchased from Memsaab, Suva.

Wearing Indian outfits in our wonderful Fiji weather is challenging but then we all bear it because that's what girl's do! The wedding was at Novotel Hotel in Lami so thankfully there was air conditioning that kept us from melting away.

Everyone looked their best and everyone usually breathes a sign of relief when no one else is wearing the same outfit! Here are some pictures of us posing around and trying to be fancy. My niece however is the most adorable!
